Stuck on something? Email hello@trysmalltalk.io. A person reads every message.
Small Talk lets you practise conversation out loud. You pick a room — a person in a situation, like a stranger at a house party, the person next to you on a long flight, or a colleague waiting for the kettle — and talk to them by voice for up to three minutes. The character reacts the way a real person would, including leaving if the conversation isn’t going anywhere.
When it ends you get a result card: a score, how much of the talking you did, and a plain read on what worked and what didn’t.
Every conversation is recorded and kept. The privacy policy explains what that means and how to have recordings deleted.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled through Apple, not inside the app. On your iPhone:
Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Small Talk → Cancel Subscription
You can also get there from the App Store: tap your profile picture at the top right, then Subscriptions.
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
For refunds, Apple handles those too: reportaproblem.apple.com.
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open the subscription screen and tap Restore, signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
In the app, tap About at the top of the room list, then Request deletion. It opens an email to hello@trysmalltalk.io with your install ID filled in. We delete your recordings, transcripts and scores within 30 days and reply to confirm.
Do this before deleting the app: a reinstall starts a new install ID. If the app is already gone, email us with roughly when you practised and which rooms you played.
Full details are in the privacy policy.

If something went wrong in a conversation, it helps to include which room it was, roughly when, and what happened.
